About the "Share What You Know" project:
Building on the generous donation of a natural childbirth educator's extensive lending library, NFOM is hosted a drive for books and other media during the summer of 2011; donations are still excitedly accepted and added to the libraries.
NFOM lending libraries are helpful educational and awareness tools in both urban and rural settings. The libraries increase access to more popular birth-related books, such as The Birth Book, by Dr. Sears, and The Birth Partner by Penny Simkin as well as specialty books such as Obstetric Myths vs. Research Realities by Henci Goer, and Holistic Midwifery by Anne Fry. Additionally, both rural and urban areas can benefit from exposure in unexpected settings to information that may have otherwise gone unconsidered, and from an introduction to the resources and efforts of Nebraska Friends of Midwives.
